Viewers of Married at First Sight UK were sent into a frenzy during last night’s episode as a newlywed realised on camera she’d received more than she’d bargained for.
Kasia, 36, from east , stared straight at the camera with a bewildered expression as her new beau Kwame, 42, told her he wasn’t interested in ‘foolishness’.
And the moment delighted viewers at home who joked she had broken through the ‘fourth wall’ by acknowledging the cameras filming her.
Kasia, 36, from London, delighted viewers when she showed her true thoughts at Kwame’s declaration he wanted to wait to have sex
Kasia married Kwame, 42, a former Mr Ghana – but the honeymoon period seemed to be over pretty quickly as Kwame told her she wasn’t everything he was looking for
After initially being bowled over by her handsome husband – a former Mr Ghana winner – Kasia realised Kwame might not be her perfect match.
She told him: ‘I’m quite distracted by the tone of your voice because it’s really attractive.’
She added: ‘I’m looking forward to spending the night with you.’
In response, Kwame said: ‘I think it’s an important thing to understand that we’re not here for foolishness, we’re here for realness.
‘And I think those things come nicely when you actually know each other properly.’
Clearly, this was not the answer Kasia was looking for as she turned to look at the camera with a wide-eyed expression.
Viewers took to Twitter to express their amusement at Kasia’s camera stare – and argued she was too good for her new husband Kwame
She then asked: ‘When will you feel like you know me properly then?’
Spotting the moment Kasia ‘broke the fourth wall,’ viewers expressed their amusement on Twitter.
One person wrote: ‘She saw that 4th wall and she smashed it!’
Others compared Kasia’s shocked expression to other memes – including Jon Krasinski in The Office US – to show how funny the moment was.
Earlier in the episode viewers suggested Kasia and Kwame might not be the best match as Kwame listed the things he wanted in a partner.
When Kasia’s friend asked the newlywed if Kasia was ‘what [he’d] asked for’ he replied: ‘I’d say part of it’, Grosir Baju Wanita and added he was looking for ‘a unicorn’.
And when Kwame got to know his new mother-in-law, he made another faux pas.
As he was asked if he was looking forward to the honeymoon, Kwame replied: ‘First of all, I need a holiday.’
Viewers were shocked by his responses and many decided he was not good enough for Kasia.
One person wrote: ‘Telling your wife at the wedding breakfast [she’s] not what you asked for is not the kind of foreplay that’s successful.Oh dear.
‘Poor Kasia she deserves better.’
Another joked: ‘I can’t imagine Kwame liking Kasia anywhere near as much as he likes himself.’
And one particular admirer said: ‘Kasia is incredibly attractive…anyone would be extremely lucky, blessed, humbled and privileged to be with her.’
They added they would ‘worship her like royalty’ if they had the chance to date her.
Later in the episode, the couple encountered another awkward moment when Kwame, who wasn’t keen to share a bed on the first night, offered his new wife the sofa bed in their hotel room.
A viewer wrote: ‘Did this fool really offer Kasia the sofa bed.’
